Dr Kirrily Rule elected onto Australian Institute of Physics executive committee

Congratulations to Dr Kirrily Rule who has been elected onto the executive committee of Australia's peak physics body, the Australian Institute of Physics as the new secretary.

This follows from the appointment of Andrew Peele from the Australian Synchrotron as the President. ANSTO has had a strong representation on the AIP executive committee with Rob Robinson serving on the committee from 2011 to 2016.

"In this role I look forward to meeting more of the members of the Australian physics community and understanding the different work that they do." Dr Rule said.

"Already I have met people involved in Physics teaching, Astro-physics and Quantum computing - and it's great to get a flavour and understanding of the richness of the physics that we do here in Australia.

"As a member of the AIP for the last 15 years I am glad to be able to give something back to the community that has supported me during my early career."
