Role at ANSTO

Tamim is a synthetic chemist in the Chemical Deuteration team at the National Deuteration Facility (NDF) at ANSTO. His responsibilities lie primarily in the synthesis and characterization of various organic molecules labelled with deuterium. He is interested in developing new methods for the synthesis of deuterated organic and polymeric molecules, as well as, deuterated unsaturated fatty acids and surface functional deuterated lipids for neutron scattering, NMR and other techniques. Tamim has background in organic / organometallic synthesis and advanced NMR characterisation utilities.
