Mr Merv Perry assists the sample environment manager in the preparation and day to day running of the groups ancillary and sample environment equipment

Merv's expertise includes extensive knowledge (17 years) in cryo refrigeration and vacuum technology

He joined ANSTO in 1991 as a mechanical technician. Merv has worked on the major upgrades to the Medium Resolution Powder Diffractometer and was responsible for technical support in HIFAR for 18 months.

Qualifications and achievements

  • Advance diploma in electrical Engineering (control systems).
  • Associate diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Fitter and machinist by trade
