The User Office is the first point of contact for all new and returning facility users accessing ANSTO’s wide range of world-class research infrastructure. These users may be internal ANSTO researchers, external merit researchers, commercial clients, scientific collaborators and partners.
The National Deuteration Facility offers access to deuterated molecules prepared by both in vivo biodeuteration and chemical deuteration techniques.
ANSTO’s user office in Melbourne offers access to the Australian Synchrotron, a world-class research facility with over 4,000 user visits per year. ANSTO seeks collaboration and partnerships with research organisations, scientific users and commercial users.
By submitting a proposal for Merit Access to ANSTO’s Biosciences, Centre for Accelerator Science, Isotope Tracing, Nuclear Stewardship or the Vivarium capabilities, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply to external merit researchers, scientific collaborators and partners unless there is a specific agreement in place between ANSTO and the home institution of the Principal Investigator.

ANSTO sets out the following terms and conditions relating to users who access our facilities for the purpose of research.
Accommodation Information
The International Synchrotron Access Program (ISAP) is administered by the Australian Synchrotron and is designed to assist Australian-based synchrotron users to access overseas synchrotron related facilities.
ANSTO offers a broad range of programs and services to various industries and customers. Many of these services, including the Australian Nuclear Medicine Traceability program, are supported by online customer portals.

The Australian Synchrotron provides funding support for successful beamtime applicants in the form of travel funding and/or onsite accommodation. Travel funds granted are to be used solely to cover the majority of the cost to travel to the AS facility. The User Office will book accommodation for interstate user groups at the onsite AS Guesthouse.
The Australian Synchrotron has an on-site Guesthouse for users and AS guests.
ANSTO provides access to specialised facilities and capabilities by application. Please ensure that you contact the relevant ANSTO scientist for advice before submitting a proposal.
Following your experiment at the Australian Synchrotron there are certain tasks that users can complete including a user feedback survey and claiming reimbursement for travel expenses.
ANSTO may provide travel and accommodation support to successful grant applicants from AINSE member organisations. Travel funds granted are to be used solely to cover the majority of the cost to travel to Sydney.
