Dr Damian Martin-Rodriguez

Dr Damian Martin-Rodriguez is a post-doctoral fellow who currently performs Monte Carlo modelling of the neutron guide systems.

His fields of expertise include magnetism, iron aluminides, spin glasses, Mossbauer spectroscopy and neutron powder diffraction

Damian obtained his B. Sc. in Solid State Physics in 2001 at the University of the Basque Country, followed by his Ph. D. there in Materials Science and Technology which he completed in February 2007. His thesis was about the influence of the intermetallic order on the magnetic properties of Fe-Al alloys. For that purpose he used Mossbauer spectroscopy, ferromagnetic resonance, neutron powder diffraction and Small-Angle Neutron Scattering.

Qualifications and achievements:

  • B. Sc. in Solid State Physics at the University of the Basque Country (2001).
  • Ph. D. in Materials Science and Technology at the University of the Basque Country (2007).
