Role at ANSTO
• Emily is a member of the National Deuteration Facility (NDF) team. Her responsibilities include contribution to the establishment of the laboratories for production, purification and characterisation of deuterated chemicals; undertaking and/or supporting hydrogen/deuterium exchange reactions and synthesis, purification and characterisation of deuterated organic molecules and their precursors for ANSTO and external users of the NDF; responsibility for the day-to day running of the organic synthesis laboratory.

Organic and organometallic synthesis, homogeneous catalysis, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, chromatographic characterisation of organic molecules, structure elucidation by Mass Spectrometry

• Completion of the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice course (2006)
• BSc in Medical Chemistry (1st class Honours in Chemistry), University of New South Wales, Sydney (2005)
