Kun Yan is a joint PhD student between the Bragg Institute and the University of Wollongong. She is supervised by Dr Klaus-Dieter Liss and Professor Rian Dippenaar.

Kun's project is to observe the development of metallic microstructures during the thermo-mechanical process by high energy X ray diffraction, neutron diffraction and laser confocal microscopy techniques.
