A new 4K-300K refrigerator (indicated by the arrow) was purchased in late 2006 to replace the older CF-7 Heliplex cryofridge. It will mainly be used in conjunction with the VM-1 7.4T Green magnet. Samples are mounted via 4x M3 tapped holes on a 25.4mm diameter PCD

A Cryocooler for use with a Eulerian cradle allows texture measurements on samples in the temperature range 10K to 300K.

Top loading cryofurnace

This top loading cryofurnace, purchased from Cryogenic, can be used in conjunction with the 8T vertical magnet (VM-1) or independently. It has a temperature range of 2K to RT. The sample stick has +/-20 mm height adjustment and the sample space is 40 mm in diameter.
