Dr Carl Recsei

Role at ANSTO

Dr Carl Recsei is an organic chemist in the National Deuteration Facility. He designs and executes new synthetic protocols and optimises the processes that help keep the NDF at the forefront of modern synthetic organic chemistry.

He has worked in reaction development from milligram to multi-ton scales, with an emphasis on green chemical principles and enantioselectivity. He has a background in natural products, cross-coupling, catalysis and industrial chemistry. Prior to working at the NDF, he was a process development chemist at Adama Agricultural Solutions.
