The ANSTO Innovation Precinct will be designed to help foster innovation within ANSTO and its community; by instilling an understanding of innovation and providing opportunities for knowledge transfer between academia and industry. Learn more.
|National Particle Treatment and Research Centre: |
ANSTO and representatives from leading Australian hospitals, research centres, universities and industry are proposing the establishment of a new National Particle Treatment and Research Centre to deliver advanced cancer treatment based on a leading-edge technology, carbon ion therapy, to improve patient outcomes and generate internationally-recognised scientific, engineering and industrial research. ANSTO and the Sri Lankan Presidential Taskforce for the Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease: Working to Address Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown Aetiology (CKDu).
On Thursday 25 May 2017, ANSTO CEO Dr Adi Paterson signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Australia, His Excellency Somasundaram Skandakumar. Learn more.

An initiative of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in association with the New South Wales Department of Education, the program provides a forum for schools and students to demonstrate their visual arts with over 800 works on display from almost 300 schools.
|The 2015 SAGE Pilot: |
ANSTO is proud to be a Charter member of the Science in Australia Gender Equity (SAGE) initiative. The 2015 SAGE Pilot includes 32 universities and research organisations from across Australia who are taking action to create gender-inclusive workplaces in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine.

|National Science Week is one of Australia's largest festivals celebrating science in a series of events and activities in every State and Territory. ANSTO is an official festival partner of the Australian Museum Science Festival (held during National Science Week) and providing merchandise for launch kits. |
|Cancer Council Relay for Life- Sutherland Shire|
|Relay for life is a fun, outdoor overnight fundraising event that brings communities together to celebrate and remember the lives of those who have battled cancer. Teams take turns to walk or run around a track whilst enjoying entertainment, activities and moving ceremonies to raise vital funds for Cancer Council’s research, prevention and support services. |IMB Cook Community Classic|
|Proudly operating in the Sutherland Shire for over 60 years, ANSTO is proud to be a supporter of the local IMB Cook Community Classic. A community event held at Cronulla Beach each year, the event hosts a number of activities which provides a fundraising platform for local Shire community groups including sporting clubs, local charities, School P & Cs and other community organisations. Wollongong Science Fair
|Encouraging success in science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects (STEM), ANSTO are proud to support the Wollongong Science fair run by the University of Wollongong. The fair is a great opportunity for students to showcase the results of their own science research projects and it encourages the development of both research and communication skills. ANSTO are also proud to assist in the judging of the fair. Learn more|
Sutherland Shire Australia Day
|Employing around 600 Sutherland Shire residents and injecting million into the local economy each year, ANSTO are proud to support the Australia day in the shire event run by Sutherland Shire Council at Cronulla Beach. It’s the Sutherland Shire’s largest free annual community event supporting local charities and home-grown talent, and a great opportunity to keep the local community informed about the great work ANSTO undertake.
