Dehong Yu has been awarded a three-year guest professorship at Shandong University, in Jinan, China. As well as recognising the excellent collaborations that Dehong has had with the State Key Laboratory of Crystal Materials at Shandong University in the past, this appointment will lead to longer-term visits by post-graduate students to use the neutron beam facilities at the OPAL Research Reactor as part of their thesis projects.  Dehong is one of two instrument scientists on our PELICAN time-of-flight spectrometer, which is currently in commissioning.
