ANSTO tours

Tours are suitable for novices to budding scientists aged 8 to 88 and are designed to be entertaining and informative for all.
During the tour, ANSTO Education Officers are happy to answer your questions on a range of topics from safety and radiation to how to kick-start a career in science.

School tours are available Monday - Friday for Year 5 through to HSC classes and are designed to meet syllabus outcomes. University and TAFE- tours can be customised for your students.

Tour bookings and security requirements
At least one week prior to your tour:
Please provide us with your identification details (name, address, drivers licence or passport details).
On the day of your tour:
Make sure to wear sensible,flat, fully enclosed shoes (no stilletto-type heels).
Check in at the Discovery Centre when you arrive, and adults present photo identification to an ANSTO representative.
The following items are prohibited on site: unauthorised photographic devices, including mobile phones or other recording equipment, weapons, firearms, explosives, alcohol, animals or containers with volatile liquids.
Please leave bags, cameras, mobile phones and other valuables in our lockers at the Discovery Centre. Prams and strollers must not be taken on site.
