  • High temperature furnace (1500°C maximum, B-type thermocouple)

  • Fan forced oven (large, maximum 200°C)

  • Drying cabinets (6, programmable humidity settings, 20% to 60% RH)

West side Chemistry Laboratory    

(wet chemical - no powders; convenient to SAXS, XRR, QUOKKA and PLATYPUS instruments)

  • Liquid nitrogen storage dewar (access on consultation with Lab Manager)
  • Storage lockers (for storage between visits for difficult to transport samples and for samples when users have had to leave before clearance; access on consultation with Lab Manager)

 


Instrumentation

  • FT-IR spectrometer (Nicolet iS10 with diamond ATR) - please inform Lab Manager in advance if nitrogen purge is required (two day purge is recommended)
  • Uv-VIS spectrophotometer (Varian Cary 50)

 

Please note: fume cupboards, furnaces and the centrifuge need to be booked in advance via the Bragg Institute Customer Portal
as part of your proposal.
