Closed-cycle refrigerator for 7.4T closed-cycle cryomagnet
| Echidna Wombat Taipan Sika Pelican
| A new 4K-300K refrigerator (indicated by the arrow) was purchased in late 2006 to replace the older CF-7 Heliplex cryofridge. It will mainly be used in conjunction with the VM-1 7.4T Green magnet. Samples are mounted via 4x M3 tapped holes on a 25.4mm diameter PCD.

Top loading cryofurnace

| This top loading cryofurnace, purchased from Cryogenic, can be used in conjunction with the 8T vertical magnet (VM-1) or independently. It has a temperature range of 2K to RT. The sample stick has +/-20 mm height adjustment and the sample space is 40 mm in diameter.
