Platypus

A spectrometer capable of measuring the impedence of a sample in the range 10kOhms to 100MOhms has been purchased.

Langmuir film balance
Ancillary code: LF-1 and LF-2
PlatypusA 100cm2 and a 300cm2 film balance are available for use on the Reflectometer.

Stop flow mixing cell
Ancillary code: SF-1
Quokka

A BioLogic SFM-300 stopped flow mixing cell has been purchased to study small angle scattering from samples as a function of time after mixing.  Up to three liquids may be mixed and total sample volumes on the order of 10mL are required.

The equipment has been commissioned so that on mixing a trigger signal is sent and the Quokka detector begins to acquire data as a function of time.
