Rapid Heat Quench Cell for SANS (-140ºC to 360ºC) | Quokka
| A rapid heat and quench cell has been designed in-house to allow samples to be heated and quenched at up to 20C/sec. The cells are heated and cooled using nitrogen gas; samples are enclosed in standard SANS quartz cuvettes.

The RHQC is shown above with the dual measuring chambers and the sample cuvette located between them. The temperatures of each chamber are controlled independently of each other by providing a temperature controlled gas flow to each via the inlet tubes located towards the top of the chamber. The sample is moved pneumatically via the piston to the right of the image.”
