Mark’s work primarily revolves around the Radiometals theme in LifeSciences and the synthesis of novel entities for application in these projects. He also manages and co-ordinates activities involved in maintaining ANSTO LifeSciences’ ISO9001 and ISO14001 accreditation.


Background


Originally a Chemistry Demonstrator and Tutor at the University of Wollongong, Mark joined ANSTO LifeSciences as a QA/QC officer in 2009. This lead to his current position as an Organic Chemist and Quality Documentation Officer in 2010.


Research interests and areas of expertise


Mark’s research interests lie in SPECT and PET radiochemistry and organic/inorganic chemistry. He has expertise in PET and SPECT radiochemistry (including radiolabelling known and novel compounds and small peptides/proteins with I-123, I-125 and F-18), HPLC separation techniques, organic chemistry and Quality/Environmental Management Systems.
