After a PhD in Systems Control at the University of Technology of Compiegne, France, Marie-Claude’s post-doctoral work research focussed on Positron Emission Tomography (PET) reconstruction algorithms at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH, Boston) and quantification at the University of Liege (Belgium).   After she was recruited by the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Marie-Claude spent twelve years as a research leader working in the field of molecular imaging with nuclear techniques in partnership with the Commissariat des Energies Alternatives (CEA), in France. 


Working for ANSTO since 2006 as Imaging group leader, she was appointed Head of the ANSTO LifeSciences research institute in July 2012.
