Role at ANSTO

Rachael works with in vitro analysis of novel compounds and radiotracers, developing in vitro techniques, and identifying and analysing new radiotracer targets.

Background

Before joining LifeSciences in 2005, Rachael completed her PhD at the University of Sydney in which she investigated the role of apoptosis in the pathophysiology of mitochondrial disorders. Rachael's primary role within LifeSciences is to investigate novel radiotracers or potential targets using in vitro techniques.

Research interests and areas of expertise

Rachael’s areas of expertise include cell culture, immunofluorescence assays, histology, radioligand binding assays, radiotracer cell uptake assays, and in vivo radiotracer analysis.
