Role at ANSTO
David works with the imaging group in ANSTO Life Sciences operating pre-clinical PET/SPECT/CT imaging equipment. He develops imaging acquisition protocols and techniques and carries out calibration and performance assessment of imaging equipment techniques. David also acts as an expert advisor for PET/SPECT/CT image acquisition related aspects of portal applications.
Background
Prior to joining ANSTO David completed a Masters of Science by research at University of Wollongong's Centre for Medical Radiation Physics (CMRP).
His research project involved characterisation of a novel MOSFET dosimeter designed for measuring skin dose during radiotherapy with 6MV clinical linear accelerators under Dr Micheal Learch (supervisor), Prof Peter Metcalfe (associate supervisor), and Prof Anatoly Rozenfeld (head of CMRP).
