ANSTO's research capabilities, led by the OPAL nuclear research reactor and associated instruments provide access to users investigating areas as diverse as materials, life sciences, climate change and mining/engineering.

How do I collaborate?

 

 Researchers from the broad research community are invited to approach ANSTO LifeSciences with proposals that would benefit from being carried out in collaboration with us, using our capabilities and facilities.

Australian code of practice for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes.

 

All research conducted with animals at ANSTO is done in accordance with the Australian code of practice for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes (7th Ed., 2004). All proposals involving animals must be approved by the relevant Animal Care and Ethics Committee.

 

 

Collaborative process

 

Please read the Guidelines for collaborative projects with ANSTO LifeSciences before starting an Expression of Interest or Application form.

 

The starting point for a collaboration is usually an Expression of Interest (EOI). ANSTO LifeSciences accepts expressions of interest (EOIs) throughout the year, however applications are reviewed quarterly.

 

Please consider applying for an AINSE Research Award to contribute to the costs of the proposal. To apply for an AINSE Research Award, your affiliated institution must be a member of AINSE.

 

Submitting an Expression of Interest:


To obtain an EOI form please email the LifeSciences research office.

 

If you need help with the form, get in touch with an appropriate staff member at LifeSciences, or contact the LifeSciences research office.

 

Our Research Contacts details our scientists' fields of expertise, research interests, and contact information.

 

Email the completed EOI form to the LifeSciences research office. If the file is larger than 5Mb please contact the LifeSciences research office for instructions.

 

The EOI review team will assign an appropriate LifeSciences staff member (Champion) to work with you to complete the application form.
