Dr Robert Knott
Dr Robert Knott has a BSc from the University of Newcastle and PhD in physics from the University of New South Wales. He was Manager of ANSTO's Nanostructure of Materials Project and played a major role in the development of the small angle neutron scattering science program on AUSANS. His main expertise is in the application of X-ray and neutron scattering techniques to the determination of biological structures. He has developed a number of neutron scattering facilities, including large area neutron detectors. Robert is currently responsible for the Institute's 2 small-angle X-ray instruments.
