Marie Gillion is employed as a Laboratory Technician within the National Deuteration Facility. She is currently involved in the production of biodeuterated molecules for analysis using neutron beam and complementary techniques. Other duties include continuous improvement of Laboratory Quality Systems, calibration of relevant equipment, maintaining an up to date Database of Chemicals and Samples in all labortatories and sub culturing fresh algae stocks.

• Laboratory Assistant at St John Bosco College, Engadine
• Provided Chemwatch and OH&S inservicing to Laboratory Assistants within the Catholic Education, Sydney
• Laboratory Technician Certificate (ultimo TAFE)
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science Degree course at Macquarie University as a Distance Education student
