Dr Stephen Parkes
Staff Profile
Role at ANSTO
Stephen Parkes is an atmospheric scientist who joined ANSTO in 2008. Stephen completed his PhD at the University of Wollongong in 2008, where he studied greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture using isotopic tracers. At ANSTO Stephen is currently working with the Isotopic Tracers in Atmospheric Transport project. He is currently involved in the monitoring of water vapour stable isotopes and a number of climatically important trace gases. This work aims to improve our understanding of regional scale transport of water vapour, and to quantify surface fluxes of important greenhouse gases.
Expertise
Stable isotopes, atmospheric monitoring, trace gas fluxes.
