Krista Simon completed a double degree at UWA in Science and Engineering in 2002, majoring in Chemistry and Materials Engineering and achieving honours in Engineering. On graduation she worked in quality control at Klen International, a chemical manufacturing company, and in May 2004 accepted at position at ANSTO as a radioanalytical chemist. She is involved in a range of analytical techniques including Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry, High Pressure Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry, Isotopic Ratio Mass Spectrometry, Tritium Analysis and the Beryllium-10 analysis of Antarctic ice.
