ANSTO provides IT services for staff members, clients and partnering institutions in Australia and around the world including eduroam and sharefile. Learn more about these services below. Links to further details are also available.

 


Sharefile


If you need to transfer large files (2MB or more) to an ANSTO employee this can be done via sharefile. To transfer files the steps include:
 

  1. Go to https://sharefile.ansto.gov.au/
  2. On the sharefile screen click upload a file on the homepage
  3. Select a file to upload
  4. Type in your email
  5. Type in the recipients email address i.e john.smith@ansto.gov.au 
  6. Click the upload button


Once the file has been successfully uploaded, information about the share file will appear. An email will be sent to you and the recipient with the same information. 

 

 


Eduroam


Eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the International research and education community. The eduroam network allows students, researchers and staff to access wireless networks from their own institution and from other partnering institutions using their institutional username/ password. Below is a list of setup guides for accessing the eduroam network at ANSTO.

  • Open settings and click Wi-Fii

  • Click eduroam

 
Step 2
  • Enter your username in the following format username@ansto.gov.au (ANSTO accounts). Enter your username for both 'username' and 'anonymous identity'

  • Click 'Connect'

   
Step 3
  • If eduroam is rejecting your username/password, ensure that your username is in the appropriate format username@ansto.gov.au
