ANSTO publishes live meteorological data from its 49m Lucas Heights weather tower every 15 minutes.
ANSTO also collects data from its environmental gamma radiation station located in Engadine NSW and provides updates every 15 minutes. This environmental radiation is almost completely from natural background radiation, although ANSTO's controlled airborne discharges may occasionally be detectable. ANSTO uses environmental radiation data to evaluate atmospheric dispersion from its site at Lucas Heights.
Accessible data on fine particle pollution for coastal NSW can also be found via an interactive map on the fine particle pollution page.
