Before submission, the nominated delegate or executive or leading ANSTO authors might like to check the following useful links regarding publisher copyright and archiving guidelines:

  • SHERPA is investigating issues in the future of scholarly communication. It is developing open-access institutional repositories in universities to facilitate the rapid and efficient worldwide dissemination of research.
  • Romeo provides some general guidance and standard guidelines on publisher permissions but is not to be solely relied upon. Individual publisher contracts should be consulted.
  • Juliet is a complement to the Romeo service provided by SHERPA for authors and repository administrators, which lists summaries of publishers' copyright transfer agreements as they relate to archiving.

When submitting a journal article, ascertain copyright ownership/requirements. Full text of articles published in journals can only be uploaded where ANSTO owns copyright.
