Dr Mogens Christensen will be working on the development of single crystal neutron diffraction under extreme conditions, such as pressure and temperature.
His area of expertise include neutron and synchrotron scattering (including diffraction and inelastic techniques), solid-state chemistry synthesis, and measurements of physical properties.
Mogens received his M.Sc. in Materials Physics and Chemistry and did his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, University of Aarhus, Denmark. During his Ph.D. he was visiting research at the Max-Planck Institute in Dresden, Germany, and at the University of Santa Barbara in California. He was stationed for 1 year at the European Synchrotron facility in Grenoble, France.
