Advisory committees

Bragg Institute Advisory Committee

The Bragg Institute Advisory Committee, which has operated since the Institute's inception in 2002, provides strategic advice to ANSTO on the Institute and its activities.

Program Advisory Committee

The Program Advisory Committee, which met for the first time in May 2007, makes recommendations to the Head of the Bragg Institute concerning the allocation of beam time. For this the committee will examine not only scientific merits (comments provided by external referees on-line), but also technical and safety aspects of a beam-time request. Although assessment should be driven by the scientific merit of the proposal the development of new users and new research areas will also be taken into account.

Beam Instruments Advisory Group (2000-2007)

Between 2000 and 2007, the Beam Instruments Advisory Group gave us advice on the $30M Neutron Beam Instruments Project, which managed the design, construction, installation and commisioning of the initial set of instruments at the OPAL reactor.
