2011 Teachers’ Professional Development Day – Yours to Discover

Nuclear Science plays a critical role in providing solutions for the world in which we live.
  • How can we create more efficient batteries and fuel cells?
  • Are there better ways to manage scarce water resources?
  • Can we improve techniques for diagnosing cancer?

To discover how researchers and scientists at Australia's only nuclear research facility are answering many of the important questions that we face today, the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) is hosting a 2011 Teachers’ Professional Development Day .

The Professional Development Day is free and held only once a year with limited availability. We are encouraging both primary and secondary school science teachers to attend.

Our range of expert speakers will provide you with an opportunity to improve your subject knowledge in key areas of the science syllabus. You’ll meet our scientists, hear about their latest research achievements and see the facilities where these breakthroughs were made.

Don’t miss out, register today by emailing to tours@ansto.gov,au or calling the ANSTO Visitor Centre on 9717 3090.
