Community Discussions

Community meetings

ANSTO has regular meetings with our local community, and we invite you to be part of them.

The next community discussion will be held on Monday 28 July 2008 at 6pm at ANSTO's Education and Tour centre, New Illawarra road, Lucas Heights.

These Community Discussions enable ANSTO to hear from members of the local community, and provides an opportunity for questions about ANSTO's operations and its science. All questions are answered and published.

The Community Discussions are independently chaired, with your suggestions and questions being most welcome. They are held a twice a year, and advertised in the local media. Notification will also be through a general invite, distributed ithrough the local neighbourhood, and we can let you know in advance if we know how to contact you. (see our privacy page). 

The Community Discussions are intended to be a valuable opportunity for dialogue for those of us whose home or work is close to ANSTO. We encourage anyone interested in our organisation, OPAL, or the applications our science has in the fields of health, the environment or industry, to come along.
