Mr David Penny is a senior technical officer with a background in mechanical engineering design, development and building construction. He currently leads the Technical Support Group of Neutron Scattering, where he coordinates the refurbishment and maintenance of existing instruments and ancillary equipment. David joined AAEC/ANSTO in 1968 and worked for Engineering Division until taking up this position in July 2001. Over the years David has worked on many interdivisional Projects within ANSTO, which has involved the planning and supervision of Major Capital Works Projects, mechanical design and installation of equipment. He also has extensive experience in the clean up and conditioning of radioactive waste.
