Dr Rachel White is responsible for the management of the Bragg Institute's laboratories as well as for training new users
Her expertise includes laboratory management, chemical safety, safety and procedural documentation and ESEM (environmental or low vacuum scanning electron microscopy).
Rachel started a B.App.Sc. in Chemistry at the University of Technology, Sydney in 1996 and in 1997 she started a Year in Industry scholarship at the National Medical Cyclotron with ARI, becoming employed as a technical officer in early 1998. After reciving first class honours for her undergraduate degree Rachel began her post-graduate studies in low vacuum and conventional scanning electron microanalysis of historic artistic paint pigments in 2002. In her previous position she was laboratory manager for the Research Division of the Children's Hospital at Westmead.
