Dr Vanessa Lake is a member of the National Deuteration Facility (NDF) team. Vanessa received a BSc. Hons. In 1999 and a PhD in 2004 from Macquarie University working in the field of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. Her main research at ANSTO involves the construction of expression systems for the biological deuteration of various proteins, biological deuteration of DNA and the production of deuterated cell constituents from algae.
