Lucas Heights campus
ANSTO is home to Australia's OPAL research reactor and located 40 km south west of the Sydney CBD. The campus can easily be found in Sydney street directories, including Whereis or Google maps.

Camperdown campus The Camperdown Cyclotron Facility is operated by ANSTO and used by researchers from the Brain and Mind Research Institute. It is Australia's first cyclotron dedicated to biomedical research.	Clayton campus The Australian Synchrotron, located in Clayton, Melbourne, is a world class synchrotron light source. It is used to generate images and provide elemental, structural and chemical information from a diverse range of samples.
