Lu-177 n.c.a Supply Update

Following the update shared on Tuesday 25 November, our team has restored local Lu-177 n.c.a. production at ANSTO.

On Monday 08 December, our batch of Lu-177 n.c.a. passed quality control testing in preparation for supply for the week of 15 December.
 
However, the activity levels of this current batch being processed are lower than anticipated due to an unplanned event during last week’s scheduled reactor shutdown, which delayed the restart of the OPAL reactor. 

To maintain security of supply ANSTO has procured additional product from our international supplier. For the week commencing 15 December, Lu-177 n.c.a. will be supplied from both ANSTO and our international partner.

Our nuclear medicine team will communicate directly with customers to confirm product deliveries. 

Gentech Generator Supply Update

During last week’s planned OPAL reactor shutdown, a fault was identified that has now been resolved. Rectification of this issue caused a delay in the restart of the reactor however, the reactor has now been fully restored to normal operations.

This delayed restart has affected the activity levels for Gentech® Generators for deliveries scheduled for Friday 12 December and into early next week. We anticipate a reduction in activity levels of approximately 20% on some customer orders.

Our nuclear medicine team is communicating directly with customers to confirm product deliveries and customer impact.
