What to expect:
Ever wanted to bring your ideas to life in 3D? In this hands-on workshop, youâll dive into the exciting world of 3D design and printing! Youâll learn how to create your own custom name tags, 3D characters, and awesome objects using Tinkercadâa super easy and fun digital design tool.
But wait, thereâs more! Since 3D printers take their time (theyâre a bit slow like turtles đ˘), weâll mail your finished creations to your home after the workshop.
In the meantime, unleash your creativity instantly with our 3D pensâdraw, build, and sculpt wild designs right before your eyes! ⨠What you create is only limited by your imagination.

Additional Information
- Please arrive 5 minutes before the start of the workshop at the ANSTO Discovery Centre to sign-in. The workshop starts at 9:30 am sharp.
- During the workshop, there will be a dedicated time for a supervised recess and lunch (BYO) break outside (weather permitting). Please bring a bag with sunscreen, snacks/ food, a hat and drink bottle. (Note - Food is not provided)
- All workshops are delivered by accredited educators with experience in science, engineering, programming and robotics.

Safety note: 3D printing with PLA filament can release small amounts of fumes. While we run this workshop in a well-ventilated environment, as a precaution, we recommend anyone suffering from severe allergic asthma attend a different ANSTO school holiday workshop.
