Minerals Principal Consultant, Dr Karin Soldenhoff, was honoured with the 2024 NSW Women in Mining -Technological Innovation award last week for her work as technical lead on the Australia Strategic Metals (ASM) Dubbo Project, and development of a new solvent extraction technology to separate rare earth and other critical elements.

The Imaging and Medical beamline (IMBL) is a flagship beamline of the Australian Synchrotron built with considerable support from the NHMRC. It is one of only a few of its type, and delivers the world’s widest synchrotron x-ray ‘beam’.

ANSTO is taking its innovative ANSTO Synroc® and CORIS360® technologies to the world stage at the Waste Management Symposia 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona USA this week (10 – 14 March 2024). Joining over 45 other countries and around 3,000 attendees, an Australian Government contingent comprising of ANSTO and the Australian Radioactive Waste Agency is in attendance to showcase Australia’s extensive radioactive waste management capabilities.

ANSTO recognised the contribution of individuals and teams to nuclear science and technology at the 2023 ANSTO Awards Ceremony held on 25 July.
