Transport
Participants are responsible for their own transport from:
- Home / airport to Miranda Metro on Tuesday, 19 August 2025
- ANSTO / Sutherland Station to home / airport on Friday, 22 November 2025
ANSTO has arranged daily transport between the hotel and ANSTO. However, the coach will go to Sutherland train station after the Workshop has concluded on Friday afternoon.
On Wednesday morning, the bus will depart at 10:15 AM from outside the hotel. On Thursday and Friday morning, the bus will depart at 8:20 AM from outside the hotel. The bus pick-up location is marked with a red star below.
Please arrive promptly. If you miss the bus, you will be responsible for arranging your own transport to ANSTO.
NOTE: There is no public transport to ANSTO.

Taxi / Uber
Please note an estimated fare from the airport to your hotel will be approximately $80AUD and would take about 40 minutes in normal traffic (19km).
Public Transport
Sydney’s public transport is cashless for all trains, buses, light rail and ferries. The cost of the ticket will depend on the distance travelled. Prices can be found here.
If you have a contactless payment enabled credit card or device (e.g. mobile phone or smart watch) this can be used for payment. Overseas attendees, please be aware that your bank may charge overseas transaction fees. Alternatively, you can purchase an OPAL transport card or single trip ticket at the Domestic and International terminal railway stations or at any of these locations.
Please note there is a surcharge to get on and off at the airport stations.
Hotel Details
Travellers who were offered accommodation will have a single room booked and paid for at Miranda Metro Hotel (522 Jackson Avenue, Miranda, NSW 2228).
Bookings consist of:
- afternoon check in Tuesday, 19 August 2025
- morning check out Friday, 22 August 2025
The closest train station to the hotel is Miranda Station (5 min walk from station to hotel - 350 metres).
There is a wide range of cafes and restaurants in the area around the hotel.
Miranda Westfield shopping centre is across the road from the hotel.
To travel by train from Miranda to the Sydney CBD takes approximately 40 minutes.
Meals
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided each day for the duration of the workshop. Dinner will be provided at the networking dinner on Thursday, 21 August. All other meals are the responsibility of participants.
Networking Dinner - Thursday, 21 August
A networking dinner will be held for all participants of the workshop on Thursday, 21 August at Miranda RSL. The venue is walking distance from Miranda Metro Hotel. Please make your own way there by 7 PM for networking, dinner and drinks!
