ANSTO welcomes the appointment of Mr Peter Harris AO and the reappointment of Professor Sze Ting Lee as part-time Members of the ANSTO Board. These appointments strengthen the breadth of expertise on the Board and will support ANSTO as it continues to deliver nuclear science, technology and research capabilities that are important to Australia.
Professor Lee has been reappointed for a second five-year term, from 16 September 2026 to 15 September 2031. A leading nuclear medicine physician, Professor Lee brings expertise and insight that will continue to be of great value to the ANSTO Board and to ANSTO more broadly.
Mr Harris has been appointed for a three-year term, from 16 September 2026 to 15 September 2029. He brings four decades of experience in public administration, economic policy and strategic reform, including as former Chair of the Productivity Commission and Secretary of the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy. His deep understanding of government policy reform and strategic leadership will be a valuable addition to the Board.
ANSTO CEO Shaun Jenkinson welcomed Mr Harris’s appointment and Professor Lee’s reappointment, acknowledging the valuable expertise and experience they bring to ANSTO.
