Role at ANSTO

Dr Prithi Tissa is the Project Manager for the Micro-Computed Tomography (MCT) beamline at the Australian Synchrotron. MCT is one of the first beamlines under construction and is the first one to be commissioned as part of the BR-GHT program. MCT will provide complementary X-ray imaging and tomography capability, in response to key science drivers articulated within the user community, to the existing Imaging & Medical beamline (IMBL).

Prithi has extensive experience in project management and program planning, working in a variety of industries on mega projects prior to his career at ANSTO. His experiences include, project management on the Air Ware Destroyer (AWD) program with BAE Systems Australia (Maritime Defence), leading engineering research and development projects in Broadband Technology at NEC Australia, and planning the multistage Data Centre Transformation (DCT) program at Hewlett Packard.
