Mr Peter Harris AO brings extensive experience in public administration, economic policy and strategic reform, developed through four decades of leadership across the Australian and Victorian public sectors.
Mr Harris was formerly Chair of the Productivity Commission and Secretary of the Commonwealth Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy. He has also held senior leadership roles in transport, sustainability and environment, primary industries and infrastructure, and has contributed to major national policy reforms.
In 2013, Mr Harris was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to public administration through leadership and policy reform roles in telecommunications, the environment, primary industry and transport. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Economics by the University of Queensland in 2024.
