Sarah is a dedicated science communicator with a strong background in education. After ten years of teaching high school Science, she joined ANSTO as an Education Officer in 2022 and later successfully applied for a second role as Training and Educational Coordinator. In these roles, Sarah promotes ANSTO’s work through facility tours, events, and training programs. She delivers lectures and workshops as part of ANSTO’s Radiation Safety Officer training courses and plays a key role in the ongoing development and delivery of the ‘Basics in Nuclear Literacy Course’ for the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Working Group. She has also co-created specialised resources for ANSTO’s internal Nuclear Literacy course and a collaborative Nuclear Stewardship course with ANU and the Defence Security College.
Sarah is passionate about making nuclear science approachable and engaging, helping learners of all backgrounds connect with complex concepts. Her work plays a valuable role in supporting the development of Australia’s growing nuclear workforce.
