Visit to ANSTO by Professor Masanori Tachikawa

Professor Tachikawa visited ANSTO in preparation for the annual symposium for the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Alumni Association in Australia (JSPSAAA), which will be held in Canberra in November 2023.

Professor Masanori Tachikawa of Yokohama City University visited Sydney and Canberra on 12-17th March to give a series of lectures and to meet Australian researchers at ANSTO, Canberra University and the Australian National University. The visit was supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and in comes in preparation for the annual symposium for the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Alumni Association in Australia (JSPSAAA) which will be held in Canberra in November 2023.

Professor Tachikawa spent time with staff from the National Deuteration Facility discussing the H/D isotope effect in relation to quantum multi-component methods.
