Transport
Participants are responsible for their own transport from:
- Home / airport to Rydges Hotel Cronulla on Tuesday, 10 June 2025
- ANSTO / Sutherland Station to home / airport on Friday, 13 June 2025
ANSTO has arranged daily transport between the hotel and ANSTO. However, the coach will go to Sutherland train station after the Workshop has concluded on Friday at 4 PM.
On Wednesday- Friday, the bus will depart at 8 AM from the designated bus spot (outside the hotel) marked by the purple star on the map below.
Please arrive promptly. If you miss the bus, you will be responsible for arranging your own transport to ANSTO.
NOTE: There is no public transport to ANSTO.

Taxi / Uber
Please note an estimated fare from the airport to your hotel is approximately $80AUD and would take about 40 minutes in normal traffic (17km).
Public Transport
Sydney’s public transport is cashless for all trains, buses, light rail and ferries. The cost of the ticket will depend on the distance travelled. Prices can be found here.
If you have a contactless payment enabled credit card or device (e.g mobile phone or smart watch) this can be used for payment. Overseas attendees, please be aware that your bank may charge overseas transaction fees. Alternatively, you can purchase an OPAL transport card or single trip ticket at the Domestic and International terminal railway stations or at any of these locations.
Please note there is surcharge to get on and off at the airport stations
Hotel Details
It is expected that all students, including local Sydney and Wollongong based participants will also stay at the hotel for the duration of the school. Please contact the Organisers if this presents a barrier to your participation.
Each participant will have a single room booked and paid for at Rydges Cronulla Beachside (20 - 26 The Kingsway Cronulla NSW 2230). Anyone that does not stay at the hotel and has not advised in advance will incur the full cost of the room for the duration of the course ($750).

- morning check out Friday, 13 June 2025
The closest train station to the hotel is Cronulla (7 min walk from station to hotel - 600 metres).
The Cronulla beaches are a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
There is a wide range of cafes and restaurants in the area around the hotel and beach.
To travel by train from Cronulla to the Sydney CBD takes approximately one hour.
Meals
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided each day for the duration of the workshop. Dinner will be provided at the networking dinner on Thursday, 12 June. All other meals are the responsibility of participants.
Networking Dinner - Thursday, 12 June
A networking dinner will be held for all participants of the workshop on Thursday, 12 June. Details are still being confirmed. It will be held in Cronulla which will allow students to walk between the venue and hotel.
