Role at ANSTO

Attila joined ANSTO in 2002 and was part of the OPAL reactor commissioning team, specialising in the reactor’s utilisation facilities before gaining accreditation as a reactor operator and eventually as shift manager. In 2009 he became the Neutron Activation Scientist. This primarily involves planning and carrying out neutron activation analysis for a wide range of internal and external clients using the OPAL reactor.  Attila is also the point of contact for research neutron irradiations, acting as a liaison between the OPAL reactor and the wider research community.
