Magnetic and electric fields

Horizontal magnets

These magnets are used to produce horizontal fields on the soft matter instruments QUOKKA and PLATYPUS. They either have inbuilt temperature control, or can be fitted with a closed cycle refrigerator.

Vertical magnets

These magnets produce vertical fields for samples at or below room temperature. 

Controlled voltage and current devices 

We have several devices for producing and measuring precisely controlled currents and voltages, ranging from a high voltage electric field system to a battery tester and a potentiostat/galvanostat.
