Role at ANSTO
Dr Guo Jun Liu is the Biology group leader in the Bio-analytics group of ANSTO LifeSciences. Dr Liu examines the impact of radiation on genes, proteins and lipids.
Dr Liu attained his MD at the Jilin University in China and PhD at the Gifu University School of Medicine in Japan. He then accepted a University Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Western Australia, followed by a University Research Fellowship at the University of Technology Sydney. Before joining ANSTO LifeSciences, he worked as a Senior Research Officer and Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Physiology at the Brain and Mind Research Institute at the University of Sydney, where his field of study was neuroscience. He is currently holding a position as Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Sydney.
Research interests and areas of expertise
