The Medium Energy- X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy beamlines provides access to XANES and EXAFS data from a bending magnet source, optimised for cutting-edge applications in biological, agricultural and environmental science in an energy range that is not currently available at the Australia Synchrotron.
ANSTO is proud to host the Shorebirds Competition for the fourth year. This unique environmental poster competition is free to enter and offers over $4000 in prizes (insert link to prizes button) for students and schools!
A world-class national research facility that uses accelerator technology to produce a powerful source of light-X rays and infrared radiation a million times brighter than the sun.
Researchers and industry partners from UNSW Australia, the Australian Centre for Nanomedicine, Children’s Cancer Institute and Inventia Life Sciences Pty Ltd have been awarded the 2021 ANSTO Eureka Prize for Innovative Use of Technology for their method to rapidly-produce 3D cell structures
The Minerals consultancy group at ANSTO has expertise in chemical engineering, metallurgy, mineralogy, chemistry, geology, and radiation safety. We can support our client's project by providing process development services, technical review, and research.
ANSTO has agreed to participate in an Australian trial of a review of research infrastructure access proposals in which applicants remain anonymous to aid the removal of structural barriers to the career progression of Women in STEM.
Dr Rezwanul Haque, now a senior lecturer at the University of the Sunshine Coast, received a national Young Scientist Award for his earlier research using nuclear techniques at ANSTO’s Australian Centre for Neutron Scattering to find cracks and signs of stress in riveted joints in sheet metal in car bodies.
Join us for this online webinar to explore and discuss the huge opportunities in growing a dynamic and impactful future nuclear workforce.
The BRIGHT Nanoprobe beamline provides a unique facility capable of spectroscopic and full-field imaging. NANO will undertake high-resolution elemental mapping and ptychographic coherent diffraction imaging. Elemental mapping and XANES studies (after DCM upgrade) will be possible at sub-100 nm resolution, with structural features able to be studied down to 15 nm using ptychography.
